David Hahnert

David has built a career making video games and absolutely loves programming. His Areas of focus are artificial intelligence, physics, and other gameplay mechanics. After starting to code over 20 years ago, he went on to graduate from UCF with a degree in computer science, he has filled his resume with racing and sports simulation titles. Competitive programming is a passion of his entering all kinds of tournaments on screeps as well as AI bot challenges on codingame.com. These passions alone have been known to consume him for weeks straight, only emerging to the outside world to exercise and get groceries

David played soccer growing up and still plays indoor pickup now and then. You'll usually find David at many of the local run clubs in the area or at 5k races. Cycling, swimming, surfing, obstacle course races, and lifting weights at the gym all synergize to balance out his workout routine.

The list of interests go on to include comic conventions, science fiction, stand up comedy, trance techno, and escape rooms.
